FOR YARDS AND TOW COMPANIES
Win junk cars from sellers near you
Sellers list their junk cars on BeaterBoss, and the yards and tow companies around them bid. Win on price or on pickup speed, with no leads to chase, and pay us only when the car is on your truck.
- Free to join
- No monthly fee
- No lead fees
-
Cars come to you
The moment a seller lists a car in your ZIP codes, you get an alert with the car and how far it is from you. No calls to return, no leads to chase.
-
Bid on autopilot
Set your prices once and your bid goes in on its own on every car they fit. Rather see the car first? Bid by hand on the ones you want.
-
Win on speed, not just cash
Sellers see the soonest pickups beside the biggest bids, so a truck that can come today can beat a bigger bid for next week.
-
Pay only for cars you get
Free to join, no monthly fee and no lead fees. Our fee goes on your card only when a car you won is picked up.
Know the car before you bid
Sellers describe the car once, on a form built for junk cars, and every buyer near them sees the same listing.
- Year, make and model
- Title
- Condition answers
- ZIP code and distance
- Photos
- VIN
- Mileage
- When it has to go
Every listing has the first four. Sellers add photos, the VIN, the mileage and when they need it gone when they can, and the form asks them to.
Built by junk car people
BeaterBoss comes from Todd Bialaszewski, the founder of Junk Car Medics
Those figures are what Todd has had a hand in as the founder of Junk Car Medics. He built BeaterBoss so sellers describe the car once and the buyers near them compete for it in the open, on price and on pickup time.
Read Todd's noteSign up once, then win cars all week. Here's how it works.
- Step 1
Join free
Sign up with your business and your mobile number, and a texted code gets you in. No password to remember. Then draw where you buy on the map, up to 150 miles out, set the times you can pick up, and add a card. You need a card on file to bid, and nothing is charged until you win a car.
- Step 2
Set your prices, or bid by hand
Fill in a price sheet by kind of car and age, then say what a missing title, the condition and the distance do to it. From then on your bid goes in on its own the moment a car it fits is listed, with your first open pickup time on it. Rather look at each car first? Skip the prices and bid by hand. You can also hide the cars you never buy.
- Step 3
Bid and climb the board
Every bid is ranked twice: High Score by amount and Speed Run by pickup time. You see your place in both, never another buyer's number. Raise your bid up to three times on a car, $25 or more each time, or move your pickup earlier. When a seller writes to you, reply right there.
- Step 4
Get picked and pick it up
When a seller takes your bid, you get an alert and the car moves to your Won cars. They book the time on your bid or a later one you have open. Message them or call them through our number, and text your driver a job page that shows the address on the pickup day.
- Step 5
Pay the seller, then us
Pay the seller your full bid at pickup, the way you normally pay for a car. Mark it picked up, and our fee goes on your card, on top of your bid. That's it: no monthly fee, no lead fees, and nothing for the cars you don't win.
Two ways to win a car
Sellers don't only look at the money. Their board puts the biggest bid and the soonest pickup side by side, and a seller who needs the car gone today sees the soonest pickups first. So every bid is ranked two ways, and your dashboard shows where you stand in each.
Tow companies welcome
You don't need a yard to buy here. If you can get to a car fast, Speed Run is where you win: a fair bid from a truck that can be there this afternoon can beat a bigger bid that can't come until tomorrow. Set your pickup times once, and every instant bid carries your first open time.
Sellers see who's coming
Every bid you make carries your business: your logo, your town, a few words about how you work, photos of your tow truck and yard, and how many cars you've bought through BeaterBoss. A seller picking between bids can see you're real.
You also get a page of your own on BeaterBoss, with the towns you pick up from, your answers to the questions sellers ask, and the reviews sellers leave after each pickup.
Fair to both sides
You're held to your bid and your time
A bid can go up while it stands, never down, and its pickup time can move earlier, never later. The seller books your time or a later one you have open. If you miss it, or try to pay less than your bid, the seller can tell us from their board and we step in. After every pickup we ask the seller whether they got the full amount, and they can review you.
Sellers are pushed to describe the car right
We ask every seller for photos of the car, the mileage and the VIN, and we tell them that buyers who can see the car bid a price they can stand by. Those three are optional for the seller, so bid for what the listing shows, and message them if you need more. When they book your pickup, sellers confirm the car matches what they told us.
Questions buyers ask
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. Signing up, setting up your page, bidding and raising your bids are free, and there is no monthly fee. You pay BeaterBoss a fee only for a car you win, once it is picked up, and it goes on top of your bid. Your fee terms are shown at the top of your Cars for sale page.
Do I need a yard?
No. Tow companies buy here too, and if you can get to a car fast, you can win it on pickup speed against a bigger bid that comes later.
How do I pay the seller?
You pay the seller yourself, the full amount you bid, when you pick up the car, the way you normally pay for a car. BeaterBoss doesn't hold or send that money.
Can I see what other buyers bid?
No. You see your place in High Score and in Speed Run, never another buyer's number. The seller sees every bid.
Do I get the seller's phone number?
No, and the seller doesn't get yours. Messages go through BeaterBoss, and once a seller takes your bid, calls ring through our number. Your driver gets the address on a job page on the pickup day.
Do I need a card to bid?
Yes. Add a card on file during setup. Nothing is charged until a car you won is picked up.
Where can I buy?
Anywhere you draw on the map when you set up, up to 150 miles out. You can also hide the cars you never buy, like cars without a title.
